Cashier, orchard monitor, grade apples, greeter, retail sales.

Pick fruit to be sold at the farm stand or to businesses.

Maintain farm, orchard and gardens. Spring/summer: planting, weeding, rock picking, thinning and mowing. Winter: pruning.

Master and business plan implementation, yearly overview, grant writing, finance and accounting.

Teams to plan and construct building projects, displays and buildings.

Plan and coordinate the annual meeting, volunteer appreciation dinner and 3–4 Friends meetings each year.

Maintain and groom trails, maintain maps and handouts in display areas, and lead or participate in hikes.

Marketing, advertising, publicity, social media and press releases.

Coordinate weddings, private parties and photo opportunities; arrange entertainment and sound systems for weekends and festivals.

Drive the tractor for weekend wagon rides and weekday tour rides.

Help with membership drives and membership retention.

Apple Blossom Festival, Harvest Festival and other special events: planning, organizing and staffing.

Student and group tours, mostly weekdays. Birthday tours may occur on weekdays or weekends.

Quarterly newsletters, website design and maintenance, and mailing preparation.

Apple crisp, jams, jellies and other items for sale in the Country Store side of the farm stand.

Tell the story of Sholan Farms during wagon tours (approximately 10 minutes).

Greet customers, explain items for sale, price and restock items, clean counters and sweep daily, and offer samples if available.

Help implement the spray program and deliver apples to sponsors during the season.
